Haptic Library for Social Touch and Feedback for Learnng
There are libraries for fingertip touch sensations by vibration motors. Using vibration motors for haptic feedback on the body needs different patterns. What would be an animating, what a confirming, a disappointed, a calming, an attention seeking haptic pattern?
Contributions here could be with an electronic setup based on our Microcontroller Board and actuating vibration motors directly or by using an available device, the Bhaptics. This suit/sleeves are mainly used for gaming, providing useful haptic patterns for this genre. Social touch patterns are missing there and could also be generated for this setup.
Selecting adequate haptic feedback is a reccuring task in our case studies and applications. Having a library of touches with evaluated experience would be a useful contributionto new studies.
